Dr. Mohamed Chakhad is an instructor of engineering, mathematics and physics. In addition to managing the engineering program, Dr. Chakhad teaches a wide spectrum of courses that span the three disciplines, which is something he enjoys very much. He also advises students and serves on college-wide and state-wide committees and boards.
Previously, Dr. Chakhad was an assistant instructor of physics at the University of Texas at Austin.
He received his bachelors in mathematics and physics from the University of Mary Washington and doctorate in physics from the University of Texas at Austin. He is pursuing a doctorate in mathematics from the University of Wyoming, which he hopes to complete by the end of Summer 2018.
In his free time, Dr. Chakhad likes to travel the world and learn about other cultures.
