Brian Uzpen is an instructor of astronomy and physics at Laramie County Community College.
Brian received dual bachelor degrees in astrophysics and physics with a chemistry minor from the University of Minnesota. Brian received his master's in physics from Minnesota State University-Mankato where he developed a pilot observing program for future undergraduate students to experience astronomical research. Brian received his Ph.D. in physics from the University of Wyoming where he studied stars with circumstellar material around them; focusing primarily on the disk clearing timescales of intermediate mass stars.

During his free time, Brian spends time with his family, traveling when he can and doing Aikido.
