Austin Albers enters his second season with the Golden Eagles. Albers helped lead the Golden Eagles to its winningest season in half a decade as the team finished the 2014 season with a 25-15 record and its sixth straight final four finish in the Region IX North Conference Tournament.

In one season at LCCC, Albers helped produce the Setter of the Year, one NJCAA D1 National Player of the Week, one Region IX All-Region Honoree, two WCCAC All-Conference Honorees and two Region IX North All-Tournament Team Honorees.

Albers comes to LCCC from Sheridan College where he served as an assistant volleyball coach for two seasons, as well as one season as the interim head men's soccer coach. At Sheridan, Albers assisted in leading the team to a fourth place finish in the Region IX North Conference Tournament in 2013. Before his time at Sheridan College, he was an assistant volleyball coach at Black Hills State University in South Dakota. While at BHSU, Albers was part of the coaching staff that helped lead the team to its second straight NAIA National Tournament appearance before making the transition to NCAA Division II.

Albers has been surrounded by athletics in general and volleyball in particular his entire life. His father was the head volleyball coach at Black Hills State University, and Albers played collegiate soccer for Western Nebraska Community College.

In addition to his role as head coach, Albers founded and serves as the club director for the Windy City Juniors Volleyball Club in Cheyenne.

Albers graduated with honors from Black Hills State University in May of 2012 with a bachelor's degree in exercise science management and a minor in athletic coaching.

Britney Brown, Assistant Coach

Britney Brown enters her third year with the Golden Eagles women's volleyball program. Brown grew up in Edwards, Colorado and attended Battle Mountain High School. In high school she was a All-American, American Volleyball Coaches Association All-American and 4A Player of the Year and Academic All-State Honorable Mention.

Brown played collegiately at Northeastern University where she was a four-year starter, earned All-Conference in 2008-2010 and was the 2010 Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Year. She was a student undergrad assistant coach in the 2011-2012 season for Northeastern. Brown holds a bachelor's degree in business marketing. Brown also played professionally in Sweden for the 2012-2013 season.
