The Laramie County Community College women's volleyball program finished the 2014 campaign with one of the best seasons in program history. The Golden Eagles wrapped up the season with an overall record of 25-15 and a fourth place finish in the Region IX North Conference Tournament. The Golden Eagles have an all-time record of 161-167.
Under first year head coach Austin Albers, the LCCC women recorded the program's first 20 win season in five years while making a final four postseason push for the sixth consecutive season. Despite having just two returning sophomores on the roster, the youthful Golden Eagles squad began the season with a 14 match unbeaten streak and earned votes in the NJCAA Top 20 poll.
In addition to the team's success, sophomores Kanani Auwae and Rory McCloy swept-in numerous individual honors. Auwae was named to the Region IX North All-Tournament Team while also earning All-Conference Honorable Mention. McCloy was named the 2014 Setter of the Year while also earning All-Regional Team, 1st Team All-Conference and Region IX North All-Tournament Team honors.
With a focus on recruiting the best regional talent, Coach Albers and Assistant Coach Britney Brown have solidified a regional roster moving into the 2015 season as the team looks to continue to build on their success. The Golden Eagles have an all-time record of 161-167.
