Vince Gibson enters his fourth season with the Golden Eagles and becomes the longest tenured head coach of the men’s soccer team. Last season he led the team to a 10-7-2 record and third place in the Region IX Tournament. His overall record at LCCC is 33-19-4. In his first two seasons with the team, his squads won back-to-back Region IX Tournament championships and extended the college’s dominance over that tournament to five straight. He also was named 2008 and 2009 NJCAA Region IX Coach of the Year. Gibson joined Laramie County Community College in 2008 after coaching both men’s and women’s soccer at Dodge City Community College in Kansas. He was named the 2007 NJCAA Region VI Soccer Coach of the Year. Gibson graduated from Idaho State University with a Bachelor of Science in physical education and a minor in coaching. He was a team coach for the Idaho Olympic Development Program from 1997-2006 and in 2000 was named the Idaho High School Soccer Coach of the Year. |

Brian Longbottom is starting his third year with the Golden Eagles men’s soccer team. His primary responsibility is coordinating the team’s offense. Longbottom is a Cheyenne native and played at East High School. In college, he earned All- Conference soccer awards at Hastings College in 1996-1997. He also coaches youth teams for the Cheyenne Sting. |

Jose Arenas is beginning his first year with the Golden Eagles men’s soccer team. Jose was a graduate assistant at McPherson College in 2010. His primary responsibility is field preparation, game day management and goalkeeper/defense coaching. Arenas is a Cheyenne native and played at East High School. In college, he played at McPherson College in 2008-2009 and at LCCC in 2006-2007. He also coaches youth teams for Cheyenne Sting. |

Cory Kasten is beginning his first year with the Golden Eagles men’s soccer team. Cory played collegiate soccer at Benedictine College for 4 years starting as a freshman. He was All-American 2 years and played in the Senior Bowl. Cory was picked by Kansas City in 1991 USSL draft before being traded to New Orleans that same year. He played with New Orleans, Chicago and Colorado in the USSL before retiring in 1996. He was the Head Goalie Coach for the men and women at Colorado College in Colorado Springs, a NCAA Division 3 Men’s team and a NCAA Division 1 Women’s team for two seasons before leaving for Wyoming. His primary responsibility with Golden Eagles is goalkeeper coaching. Outside of coaching, he manages Wallick & Volk Mortgage Lending. |
