Student Success Center

Tutoring is FREE for all LCCC students enrolled in one credit hour or more.

Tutoring is available six days a week, Monday to Saturday, in almost all subjects – math, statistics, anatomy/physiology, biology, chemistry, history, psychology, computer science, economics, business, accounting, humanities, criminal justice, art, medical terminology, geology, physics, political science, philosophy, and more! (Please contact us or visit the SSC in the Ludden Library and Learning Commons, LIB 429, for specific subject tutoring hours and availability.)

Writing, public speaking, English, and communications assistance is available Monday through Saturday in the Writing and Communications Center, located in the Ludden Library and Learning Commons in LIB 430. Please see the WCC for more information and hours.

Contact us to schedule an appointment or ask about our drop-in hours!  Appointments are highly encouraged.

show you different ways of understanding subject matter

ask relevant questions and guide you as you search for answers

help you organize and focus

use appropriate study strategies to review and learn course materials

proofread, edit, or otherwise check homework for correctness

evaluate or give estimated grades on class work

simply give students correct answers

help students complete quizzes or tests

lecture class material (Only your instructor can teach his/her class.)

Free Online Tutoring

If it's 3 a.m. and students need help, they can try NetTutor, a free online service that offers tutoring in many subjects, including math, accounting, chemistry, humanities, and more, 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. Students access NetTutor from their D2L account homepage under ”Student Resources.”
